Event - Superhero Believe and Achieve Day

1 July 2016

On Friday 1st of July we held our third Believe and Achieve Day. The school was overrun with superheroes all willing to share their superpowers with each other.

The idea of the day was for the children to recognise their talents and use that to turn them into a superhero! Super Dancer, LOL-babah, Mega Mathematician, Speed Runner and Art Princess were just some of the superheroes that attended school on the day.

In the morning, the children wrote a Mini Saga to be entered into the Young Writer’s Ancient Adventure Competition. The children had to make their story no longer than 100 words and base it on a character from history! It was a challenge, but some wonderful stories were written. We will be keeping our fingers crossed for some winners.

In the afternoon, our superheroes took over and lead lots of different activities. We had a great range of activities being taught by the pupils to the pupils with the support of a staff member. There was Bangra dancing and drumming lessons, origami, craft, drama, knitting and clay to name a few.

We have some incredibly talented and generous children in our school and the atmosphere was amazing.

As a special treat we all enjoyed an ice lolly too! We can’t wait to do it again.
