Event - Economic Well-Being Week

16 to 20 May 2011

16th – 20th May 2011 was our Economic Wellbeing Week in school. During this week we found out about how important it is to save money, where money comes from and about different careers. We also did lots of problem solving about money, including how to make a profit when selling healthy snacks.

We had visitors from Islamic Bank discussing how important it is to save money and Leroy Richards joined us from Football Futures to tell us about how he set up his own business.

There were lots of visits including our local supermarket; Thomas Cook travel agents, Toys 'R' Us and Pets at Home. Classes 5 and 6 went to Acocks Green and Birmingham City Centre to do a business and career survey.
