Event - Shakespeare Day

2 March 2016

On Wednesday 2nd March we held our Christ Church Book Day. This year the day was based on Shakespeare’s tale 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream'. Everyone came to school dressed as a king, queen, fairy or a donkey. Some of the costumes were fantastic!

Each class took part in different activities based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream ranging from building fairy houses to acting with St Albans Academy’s very own Shakespeare Ambassadors and we all shared what we had learnt during an assembly in the afternoon.

The children were even visited by a very special guest in the morning, William Shakespeare himself! Even his wife Anne popped in to say hello!

Everyone had lots of fun on our Shakespeare Day and we are looking forward to using all of our new found love of Shakespeare and knowledge of A Midsummer Night’s Dream to create wonderful designs for our Big Read book bench!
